Similar to when Vapor Trails was released, independent record stores across the US will be giving away free 18"x24" posters with a purchase of Snakes & Arrows. Several readers have reported seeing these advertised at their local indie store. For instance, Michael O let me know that Rhino Records in Claremont, CA is giving away the posters. And Spindrifter pointed me to this Blabbermouth article which details a special promotion in addition to the poster at Cleveland/Pittsburgh-area independent record store chain, The Exchange:
The Exchange, an independent music retailer with 20 stores in Cleveland and Pittsburgh, will participate in a special promotion with Anthem/Atlantic recording artists RUSH. RUSH's new "Snakes & Arrows" CD will be specially sale-priced for only $6.99 ($18.98 list price) at all Exchange locations from Tuesday, May 1 through Sunday, May 6. A very limited-edition RUSH poster will be given out with purchase. There is a limit of two CDs and one poster per customer (while supplies last). The event is being sponsored by WTAM in Cleveland, Cleveland Free Times magazine and the Pittsburgh City Paper.
So it's essentially a 2-for-1 sale. And best of all - it's in my hometown! I think I'll be hitting a few of these stores around Cleveland next week.
