[ Neil Peart Likes His Toronto Maple Leafs Hat, Among Others]
Speaking from a Toronto recording studio, Neil Peart recently spoke with ChartAttack.com's Stephen Clare. Topics focused mostly on his recently released 4th book Roadshow, which he's discussed in depth lately in several other interviews. He did have a little to say about the new album too.
... "I've just finished all the lyrics for the new album, which will be out next year, and so I'm back into the headspace of drumming and trying to challenge myself by experimenting with new set-ups and sounds. And, of course, the language of rhythm requires a completely different kind of hat."
So it definitely sounds like progress is being made if he's completed the lyric-writing. A month ago we heard from Sabian rep Chris Stankee, who had the honor of visiting Rush in the studio. At that time, Neil was still finalizing lyrics.
