UPDATE - 11/11@11:09AM: Geddy's Planet Rock interview is now online at this link. It starts about 126 minutes in and lasts about 20 minutes. Geddy once again is asked about Rush touring next year:
... yeah, we're in discussions right now trying to firm up some dates so I think we're gonna try to come over here in the late spring. If all goes well - we're supposed to be going right back into the studio and finish the work that we started before the last tour but there's something about the way the Time Machine Tour came together that we'd like as many Rush fans as possible to experience it. So I think we're gonna try and bring that tour to Europe...

UPDATE - 11/10@3:37PM: The Planet Rock interview just ended. Geddy reiterated several of the comments he's made this week including the likelihood of Rush bringing the Time Machine Tour to Europe next year. He also addressed the possibility of a Time Machine Tour live DVD, mentioning that they'd like to get a full show recorded before that happens and are hoping to do that assuming there's a second leg to the tour. Although Geddy didn't confirm anything, if you read between the lines it certainly sounds like there will be a second Time Machine Tour leg. The show including the interview should be posted online within the next day, and remain online for about a week.

Rush will be presented the Living Legend award at this year's Classic Rock Roll of Honour Awards this evening at The Roundhouse in London. The event will be hosted by Alice Cooper and Geddy Lee will accept the award on behalf of the band. The BBC website has a feature story on Rush and the Living Legend award which includes some interview snippets with Geddy Lee. Geddy expands on some of his comments from the Rush documentary screening Monday night regarding taking the Time Machine Tour to the UK next year:
... The band has just completed the Time Machine Tour across North and South America, which saw Moving Pictures played in its entirety.
"It's our most popular album and it's the one that seems to have passed the test of time most gracefully," observes Lee.
"I'm not sure we're quite ready to put that tour away," he adds.
"Now we're thinking we might come back in spring and play some shows in Britain."
Rush have always avoided the summer festival circuit in the UK, though Lee hints there might be a change of heart over major events like Glastonbury.
"For a while we steered away from big festivals, because you've got to be prepared to strip it all down for that kind of show," he explains.
"But we played some festivals this summer in Canada and in the US and they went really well. So it's got us thinking that maybe that's something we would do over here in the future." ...
Geddy also talks about the Living Legend award, the Rush documentary Rush: Beyond the Lighted Stage and remarks on Nelly Furtado's recent cover of Rush's Time Stand Still.
