UPDATE - 12/9@1:57PM: Apparently some retailers (Amazon at least) shipped the blu-ray with a promo sticker that states Extensive bonus materials include interviews and rare performance footage despite the fact that no bonus material is included. Just to clarify, the blu-ray does not contain any bonus footage; this has been confirmed by Anthem. The mistake was in the sticker on the packaging. Another point of clarification: all the tracks (the original 22 plus the 8 bonus) are included together in the order they were performed rather than with the 8 new tracks separated.
The Blu-ray version of R30 which contains the complete September 24, 2004 show from Frankfurt, Germany was released today. The blu-ray version contains all 22 of the tracks included with the original DVD release along with the 8 missing tracks; Bravado, YYZ, The Trees, One Little Victory, Secret Touch, Red Sector A, La Villa Strangiato and By-Tor and the Snow Dog. Geddy Lee addressed the omitted tracks in a March 2006 interview with Aardschok Magazine:
... Some of the songs were dropped from R30 due to technical reasons but also we didn't want to have too many similarities with Rush In Rio. Why not? Well, I think now that it was a dumb decision of ours. In fact I regret not having put the whole show on those disks. But I promise you, all those songs that were cut will eventually see the light of day, in some shape or form. ...
Unfortunately the blu-ray version does not contain the bonus disc that was included with the original DVD release. If you haven't already ordered your copy, you can do so at this link.
