I'd mentioned in a post a couple weeks back that Rush was the subject of a cover and 7-page feature article in the August, 2008 edition of the UK's Classic Rock Magazine. The issue is out on newsstands now and reader freewilly Niels was kind enough to scan the article for us. The scans are at the bottom of the post.
Peter Makowski sat down with Rush before the May 10th show at the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas, NV and interviewed all three members. It's a very complimentary article with a lot of great interview segments and photos. What has to be the most interesting snippet in my eyes is this revelation from Alex Lifeson when asked about their next studio album:
We really need to sit down and decide what we want to do with our next record. Whether we do an album or whether we just write songs over a period of time and release them as we go along. That's kind of attractive to me.
Very interesting indeed. This tells me that they have fulfilled their obligations regarding their contract with Atlantic records, and may do something unconventional for their next release of new material. We shall see.
