A few weeks ago we learned via the Buddy Rich Drum Company's MySpace page that there will be another Buddy Rich Memorial Concert taking place at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City on October 18th, 2008. This will be the first Buddy Rich Memorial concert in 10 years; the last one was with Phil Collins back in 1998. Cathy Rich has posted several updates regarding the event to her MySpace page over the last few weeks including the addition of Terry Bozzio to the list of performers, and the unveiling of the first ad for the event. And just this past Tuesday Cathy also made it known that the concert will be the first major event to be televised on Don Lombardi's new venture, the Drum Channel. Thanks to Andy O for the heads up.
