UPDATE - 1/15@9:47AM: The Rush.com mailing list has sent out the following news regarding dates:
Are you ready? Stay tuned to RUSH.COM in the coming days for more information on the upcoming RUSH Snakes and Arrows 2008 tour. For now, we can tell you this - new cities have been added, and the tour of originally 40 show dates will now stop in over 45 cities!
This jibes with what I've been hearing; there have been a lot of recent changes (shows added/changed) and sometime in the next couple of days we'll get the announcement. Stay tuned!

UPDATE - 1/14@4:41PM: With the April 29th date in Albuquerque and the May 1st date in Phoenix it no longer makes sense logistically that the Moneterrey date will take place on April 30th. That would also mean 3 dates in a row which I understand they won't do anymore. My guess is that this show will take place closer to the Eastern Texas dates - probably April 20-something. I'll move it back to the regular venue list for now. We'll see what happens.
It looks like the Honda Center in Anaheim is out and the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Irvine is in. It also looks like the Staples Center show is moving next door to the Nokia Theatre - and they'll possibly do 2 nights there. The Houston date will be at Cynthia Woods.

UPDATE - 1/14@3:35PM: There are some dates/venues posted at Nokia ticketrush.com that look legit (thanks Snoscootr). According to them the Albuquerque, NM show will occur on April 29th and take place at the Journal Pavilion rather than the Tingley Coliseum. The Phoenix date will take place on May 1st at the Cricket Pavilion, and the Las Vegas gig will take place on May 10th.

UPDATE - 1/14@2:13PM: Ok. I think I have a better handle on things now. This morning I'd been hearing several conflicting days for the tour announcement; everything from later today to next Monday. From what I've been able to gather from my various sources, the announcement was delayed due to the need to finalize a few of the dates first. So there is no definitive date/time currently set for the announcement, although it should be forthcoming within the next couple of days. That's about the best I can give you on that front right now. We'll just have to wait and see. In the meantime I do have a few other updates to report.
The Kansas City date at the Starlight Theatre has been taken down from Ticketmaster although I am still hearing that it's a go. It just shouldn't have been in the system yet.
I have a date of April 19th for the New Orleans show. On the following day (April 20th) will be the Houston gig which is now a go. However the venue is now in question; it won't be at the Toyota Center but I'm not clear on where it will be. Make your own guesses on that - I'll see what I can find out. The Don Haskins Center in El Paso is also another pending date.

UPDATE - 1/14@12:29PM: I'm now hearing the dates will not be announced today, but later this week - probably Friday. So you can all stop hitting refresh at the Rush.com site now. Man... you guys probably killed their server. :) More as I learn it...
UPDATE - 1/14@9:38AM: Nothing yet. Hopefully sometime today. However, I wouldn't be surprised if they're postponing the announcement a day or two. With all the last-minute changes/adds they may not have been ready. They also have a little more breathing room this go-around. For the 2007 leg tickets were going on sale the Saturday immediately following the announcement. For this leg tickets aren't set to go on sale until the Saturday after next - January 26th. I'll see what I can find out. In the meantime I guess we just wait it out.
UPDATE - 1/14@12:30AM: Well... I guess just because they posted the dates shortly after midnight last time doesn't necessarily mean they're going to do it this time. It's about 12:30 and nothing at Rush.com yet... *YAWN* I'm off to bad - I'll check back in in the morning.
Assuming our intel is correct, Rush will be announcing the official list of dates for the 2008 leg of the Snakes & Arrows tour tomorrow. If they go about it like they did for the 2007 leg, they'll be posting the dates to Rush.com shortly after midnight. So while we stand vigil I thought I'd recap what we know so far (or think we know at least).
Tomorrow we should get the official tour date announcement along with a possible new live single of Workin' Them Angels. There are also rumors of the release of a live CD and/or DVD - presumably of the Rotterdam shows.
The initial round of tickets will be going on sale on Saturday, January 26th. If the pre-sale works like it did last go-around, it will occur the week prior and we should be getting details in the next week.
We don't have as good of a handle on the dates as we did on the last leg but we do know a good bit. It looks like after kicking off in Puerto Rico on April 11th, the band will head to Florida and other points in the Southern US. Then late April and May will see the band out in the Western US. Late May into June they'll be hitting the Midwest and then points east in July. As it stands now, the South American dates will take place in August rather than May. This abrupt switch to August from May is part of the reason for a lot of the last-minute adds/changes to the tour itinerary and why a lot of the dates/venues have been so fuzzy. Here's the list in its current state. If Rush.com pulls a midnight surprise on us and posts the official dates I'll report them here.
