Rush's Alex Lifeson recently visited CBC Music for a video interview to share the 5 songs that changed his life. The 5 songs are Sink the Bismarck by Johnny Horton, (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction by The Rolling Stones, For What It's Worth by Buffalo Springfield, How Many More Times by Led Zeppelin and Are You Experienced? by Jimi Hendrix. Here's Alex talking about probably his favorite song ever - Buffalo Springfield's For What It's Worth, which Rush covered on their 2004 Feedback EP:

"For What It's Worth" by Buffalo Springfield is probably my favorite song ever. I remember hearing it in my dad's car. We were driving somewhere. I was still 13 and I had my rose-colored granny glasses on, trying to be a cool hippie-ish kind of kid. That song came on and it was a revelation. It was the most amazing song I ever heard. I ended up buying that record and I played it until there were no grooves left. There was just something about the acoustic guitars in it - the electric guitars, everything about it was just so well-crafted and it blew my mind. And to this day whenever I hear it I get chills and I get goosebumps.
