Back in 1998, Fender released a . This model featured a black and white finish and was a recreation of Geddy's favorite bass - a 1972 Fender Jazz Bass that he bought in a pawn shop in Kalamazoo, Michigan. It is Fender's most popular signature bass model so it's not surprising that they just released a new model of the bass; this one featuring a sunburst finish and black pick guard. Geddy is shown with his sunburst model on several of the promo pictures for his My Favorite Headache solo album as seen here. He also uses this bass in concert when playing Between the Wheels.
