UPDATE - 5/27@5:01PM: Note: several readers have pointed out that the Henhouse diagram from the Rush.com site is also what is printed on the back of the shirts that the band has been throwing out to the crowd just before the encore. The fronts of the shirts simply say Henhouse.
Back on May 14th Rush.com teased us all by posting the following message in the News section of the website:
COMING SOON. Finally after years of waiting, rush.com is proud to announce we will reveal the “secret behind Geddy’s bass sound” !!!!
Stay tuned for this shocking secret to un-fold!
Also around this time they posted a video in the Multimedia: Rush Videos section of the site with Geddy Lee backstage at the Austin show tuning his bass. I mistakenly thought that this video was what they had been referring to in the message. I was wrong! Earlier today the actual secret was revealed:
