In a recent episode of E!'s The Soup, host Joel McHale makes fun of a Walgreen's ad featuring Celine Dion where Celine appears as a gift under a family's Christmas tree. After showing the ad, Joel says oh man! but I already have an annoying Canadian chick. A girl with a hockey jersey on then runs out and Joel makes some more remarks making fun of Canadians and says, speaking of Rush fans then breaks into a Geddy Lee falsetto and proclaims it's reality show clip time!.

From episode #87 of "The Family Guy" (Season 5, #7 - "Chick Cancer"). Chester Cheetah (the Cheetohs mascot) is snorting orange powder (presumably cheese) from a tray as if it were cocaine and listening to Tom Sawyer. After taking a big sniff, he says "There is no f**king drummer better than Neil Peart!" A Rush poster is also seen in the background.

In the same spirit that discovered Dark Side of the Rainbow (playing Pink Floyd's "Dark Side Of The Moon" while watching "The Wizard Of Oz"), someone discovered back in 1999 that if you play 2112 while watching Willy Wonka beginning at a point near the entrance into the factory cools things happen.

About 2 minutes into the video the teacher reads the lyrics to "Closer To The Heart" to an outdoor class while holding the "A Farewell To Kings" album cover.

"Spirit Journey Formation Anniversary" (#34, aired Oct. 19, 2003): The episode includes several Rush references and is funny as hell. This is a clip.

This clip is from the short-lived TV show Freaks and Geeks. It's the opening of episode #105 - "I'm with the Band". It has Nick in his basement singing and playing drums along with Rush's "The Spirit of Radio".

This is a video clip of "Run Willie Run" with Alex Lifeson on guitar with an unknown vocalist in the 1972 film Come on Children. Apparently filmed in 1971, this movie contains the oldest known recorded performance of Alex Lifeson. In the film, Alex performs "Run Willie Run", a Rush original written in 1969, on acoustic guitar with an unknown co-actor providing the vocals.

This humorous video piece is from the CBC's Rick Mercer report and aired in January of 2004. In it Geddy Lee gives some togogganing safety tips. "... small children and people worried about their brain should always wear a helmet..."

Here is an excerpt from a Canadian TV show from the 80s called Picture Comes to Life. In it they discuss the making of Rush's The Big Money music video which, at the time, used state of the art video animation.

Back in late 1989 Alex Lifeson and several other heavy metal and hard rock artists gathered for a humanitarian project to raise money to help those affected by the December 7th, 1988 earthquake in Gyumri, Armenia. It was called Rock Aid Armenia - The Earthquake Album and was released in 1990. It consisted of original tracks by the bands of the different contributors (including The Spirit of Radio from Rush) and this popular re-recording of one of Deep Purple's famous hit songs "Smoke on the water".

This is the Beavis and Butthead episode which features the boys watching Rush's Stick it Out video. When Beavis realizes it's Rush, he starts singing "Invisible airwaves crackle with life, bright antenna bristle with the energy". The premise; Beavis & Butthead go to a plastic surgeon to get wiener implants.
