UPDATE - 5/25@6:20PM: ... And here's a video where Sammy Hagar briefly talks about hanging out in Toronto with Alex and being hungover. He addresses Alex who is backstage (thanks questrider).

According to JAM! Showbiz, Alex Lifeson was in attendance at the sold out Chickenfoot show last night at The Mod Club Theatre in Toronto. Chickenfoot is the recently-formed supergroup consisting of vocalist Sammy Hagar (Van Halen), bassist Michael Anthony (Van Halen), guitarist Joe Satriani and drummer Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers). From the article:

... in attendance seemed to be Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson who had taken Hagar and Smith out on the town on Saturday night and was still paying for it on Sunday night according to Sammy who kept addressing him offstage.

It sounds like Lerxst is having a fun-filled weekend. Reader Andrew W backs up this story as he reports sighting Alex in the Yorkville area of Toronto Saturday night having dinner on the patio of the Hazelton Hotel with Hagar and Smith. Here's a bootleg video of Chickenfoot's opening number last night.
