The number 2112 has become synonymous with Rush over the years due to their breakout 1976 album of the same name. And since today is the 21st day of the 12th month - written as 21/12 in many parts of the world - Rush fans over the years have dubbed it as an unofficial Rush holiday of sorts (it also happens to be the Winter Solstice too!). Happy International Rush Day everyone! This year's Rush day celebration is particularly significant in that it also gives us the chance to look back on the legacy of Neil Peart, who we tragically lost to cancer back in January. So as a tribute to The Professor on this Rush Day 2020, let's all don our Rush apparel, listen to the Holy Triumvirate all day long and load up our Rush DVDs/Blu-rays. Today is a celebration of Rush fandom, so crank up the music and smile. To make it especially significant, do something extra special at exactly 9:12PM this evening; 21:12 in military time. Happy #RushDay everybody!!!
