Jaco is a documentary film on legendary bassist Jaco Pastorius produced by Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo and directed by Paul Marchand and Stephan Kijak. After several film festival screenings over the past year, the film was finally made available for purchase back in late November via various on-demand/streaming services, digital download and on DVD/Blu-Ray as part of Record Store Day's Black Friday promotion. An associated soundtrack was also released via Sony/Legacy which is available to order here. Geddy Lee is one of the many musicians interviewed for the film and a new DVD Extras video of Geddy discussing the Jaco Pastorius song that set a new bar for bassists was released via Facebook a couple of weeks ago. The song he refers to is Teen Town, which you can listen to on YouTube here.
