It's hard to believe, but the R40 Live North American tour is down to its final two shows! Rush rolls into Orange County tonight to play the Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre - their first outdoor show since May 30th in Bristow. They'll then head north up the road to play the final show of the tour at the LA Forum on Saturday. The band has been hard to predict as far as the setlist goes on this third leg of the tour, having not really settled into any kind of pattern. All we can say with relative certainty is that they won't play the same setlist back-to-back nights, so tonight's show will probably be A or C, with C being more likely since they just played A in Vegas. That said, it's the second-to-last show, so the band could always decide to surprise us with something different. For more discussion on the potential setlist along with a preview of the show, check out the pre-show SPOILER review below the fold. Several Rush rats are getting together for an informal gathering on the lawn at the venue - details here. There's a little confusion regarding the start time for tonight's show. The Live Nation site lists the start time as 8PM, although several folks' tickets say 7:30PM. Just to be on the safe side, I'm going with the 7:30PM start time. Whatever the case, the band will probably get going 15 minutes after the listed start time - which means 7:45PM (or possibly 8:15PM). For everyone going tonight, have fun, be safe and make sure to share your reports, reviews, photos and video with us. RUSH!!!!!

*** pre-show SPOILER review *** As I'd mentioned above, Rush hasn't really settled into any kind of pattern with their 3-setlist rotation on this third leg of the tour, so they've been a little hard to predict. That said, they haven't yet played the same set on back-to-back nights, and it's been 3 shows since they last played setlist C back in San Jose. So it's a pretty good bet to say they'll pull out setlist C for tonight's show. That said, it's the second-to-last show, so it's certainly possible they might want to surprise us. If they do actually plan on playing Losing It for the final show in LA, then whoever is playing on it (Jonny Dinklage is a likely possibility) might also be available to play it in Irvine too since it's just a short drive from LA (much like what happend in Newark/NYC). We shall see ...
